Sony: Network Walkman NWD-B100

Sony has announced its Network Walkman NWD-B100. It hits Europe this month, no US release date yet. You can check out all the various bells and whistles at Engadget, but I just want to say this:

Jesus Christ. I remember when the original cassette tape Walkman was just way too cool. Yes, children, there was a time when you didn't have headphones to listen to your choice of music on an easily portable device in order to drown out your annoying siblings on long car trips. The Walkman changed our lives. So to all you kids who were born with white iPod earbuds already attached, all I can say is: get offen my lawn!
