Logitech Wave Keyboard

Logitech Wave Keyboard

There's two reasons why the whole cordless keyboard thing has never worked for me. First of all, while I find wireless networking to be convenient, since I do most of my work on a laptop, I've never found myself in a position where, man, if only I could type from across the room. The cord on an external keyboard has never really bothered me, honestly. And I'm half-blind anyway, so if I were to try to get too far away from the screen, I'd be screwed.

Secondly, whenever I think "cordless keyboard" my thoughts stray to that pinnacle of IBM computing, the PC Jr. Yes, it was the PC Jr. otherwise known as the Tonka Toy of home computing, that gave me my first exposure to wireless keyboarding. So. I can be forgiven for holding a grudge against the concept.

Anyway, you can read the full press release here if you are of a different mindset than I.

You can also buy the cordless flavor here and the corded Widge-friendly version here, both from Amazon.
