I don't really understand this shirt, but then again I'm not from Louisville. I still dig it though.

But I mean: is that a Boy Scout symbol carved into the skull's forehead? Is it significant that the nose is an upside down heart? And is there a huge Dia de los Muertos celebration in Louisville or something? Are these questions rhetorical or not?

And for the rest of us, we can snag this shirt just to confuse the people in our respective towns.

Totally agree, the skull t-shirt is extraordinary, I do know that the "boy scout symbol" is a Fleur de Lis which is related to French heraldry:

"So do several places whose name came from one of the French King Louis: amongst them, Louisville, Kentucky and St. Louis, Missouri where the three-petalled symbol also denotes the convergence of three rivers (the Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois)."

Yeah, the fleur-de-lis is one of the symbols of Louisville. I don't think the nose/heart represents anything about the town (or at least nothing I've come across in 17 years here ;).
