Threadless: Black Spot T-Shirt
New Threadless shirts are up today (and they're having a $10 sale until December 16th–so my suggestion to you is go ahead and start shopping now, they tend to run out of things). And I couldn't help notice this one, which seems to be just up our collective alley.
Nice, huh? Simple. A black spot. Bang. Done.
No, wait. There's this on the back:
So wait a second. To assert the fact that I am an individual, I should buy a t-shirt that's going to be mass produced from a t-shirt place that will say the same declaration of individuality on all copies of the t-shirt.
Okay, everyone, say it with me:
I want to be different: like everyone else I want to be like. I want to be just like all the different people and assert my individuality with others who are different like me.
This is either the most intentionally ironic shirt in the history of intentionally ironic shirts…or it's something else.
In other news, anyone who's ever read Shirley Jackson knows there's no fucking way you should ever wear this. For health reasons.
