Did you ever browse the horror aisle at your local video store—when VHS was still available to rent? You'd see bloody splattered fonts all over the place!

Oh hell yes. And as I've mentioned elsewhere, there was a small video store around the corner from where I lived in high school, and I must have systematically watched every kung fu and horror film that they had. Seriously. Starting from top left of a rack and working my way across and down. So something like this is near and dear to my heart.
